Happy last day of July!

Bringing Glossa to Sales

The sales-delivery handoff is a mess in most organizations. No one wants it to be - incentives are just not aligned. Sales is hard, and sales teams are focused on sourcing and closing, not downstream paperwork (never mind downstream apps!).

But fixing the sales-delivery handoff is a big part of making discovery better - for delivery teams, for clients, and even for sales teams.

So we've been thinking about the handoff from the sales perspective: how can we make it as easy and simple as possible for sales materials to be shared with delivery in a digestible, accurate, and helpful way?

We think the answer is: meet sales where they are. More and more, we think sales teams are living in Claude. With what we’re thinking (MCP), a sales rep would only have to tell Claude one sentence, and delivery gets structured artifacts - business outcomes, requirements, capabilities - all traceable back to the part of the conversation they came from.

Would your sales teams use this? Is this solving the friction at the right part of the process?

(Our other option is to focus more on the handoff from discovery to build - putting requirements, business outcomes, and more directly into your PSA. Let me know if that’s more of a pain point for you and your team.)

Thank you, as always, for your feedback - it really shapes the roadmap!

What We Shipped This Week & What's Coming Next

This week:

  • New way to invite clients to the portal - There's a new "Invite to Portal" button on the Questions page - same magic link, same easy email.

Coming next:

  • Assign people to projects - Until now, we haven’t defined which users are working on which projects. Now, Glossa’s customer base is growing (yay!) - and it’s becoming messy. The ability to assign people to projects will be out early next week.

  • Notifications that follow project assignment - Only get notified about project updates for projects you’re assigned to (also out early next week). Thank you Diamond for this idea!

  • Workflow diagrams - Visual workflow diagrams to support complex discovery conversations, without doing it by hand.

Weekend Watching

  • Client-facing discovery questions - Last week, we released major new features in the client portal: clients can upload documents and answer questions, in addition to reviewing requirements. Here’s a video walkthrough.

As always, if you have questions, feedback, or just want to chitchat, you know how to reach me. Have a wonderful weekend!
