Happy Halloween! 🎃

For the last few weeks (and a few more), we’ve been working on making Glossa easier to use - simpler navigation, a more intuitive UI, fewer clicks. It’s important, but it's also not thrilling to read “more streamlined experience” week after week in this newsletter.

So I want to try something different.

I get to talk to a lot of people every week - SI and proserv leaders, investors, and founders. There are SO many startups in the space right now that even the startups don’t know about all their competitors.

For the next few weeks, I’m going to use this newsletter to highlight some businesses that I think SI leaders in the space should know about.

Starting with: NOVA

Built by long-time Salesforce nerds, NOVA's goal is to bring the vibe-coding experience to enterprise orgs that need governance and standards.

How it works:

  • You describe what you need in Slack

  • NOVA reads your org’s metadata, policies, and procedures and proposes a design

  • A human architect reviews and approves it

  • NOVA builds and tests

(The NOVA team says it’s up to 40x faster, at about 10% of the cost of traditional delivery)

NOVA's bet is trust: there's always an architect in the loop, and every step from request to release is planned, visible, and on the record. This makes sense to me; trust matters more than speed right now. At the same time, "regular" users have gotten a taste of vibe coding and don't want to go back - so you need something that marries the easy user experience with rigorous governance on the back end.

NOVA is a good fit for ongoing work or managed services, where knowing the org deeply matters a lot. You can automate so much of it!

You can reach out to NOVA's Co-founder and CEO Nick Hamm if you want to learn more.

If you love or hate this series, or you’re building something and want to be featured, you know how to reach me.

Have a spooooky weekend!
