Happy Friday!
There are so many startups in the space right now that it’s hard to keep track of them all, even for people whose job it is to keep track (me!). So I’m continuing the series highlighting a few new companies that SI leaders should know about (starting with NOVA last week).
This week: Recourse
When I did Salesforce implementations, many moons ago, go-live was always a scramble: you were fixing UAT issues and migrating data, while everyone around you hummed with frantic energy. And somehow in there you were supposed to also develop training materials for the whole organization to start using the system on day 1?!
For me, it meant a lot of late-night deck editing and leaning heavily on train-the-trainer… neither of which is perfect.
I really like Recourse because it does all that stuff for you. It creates customized training courses, complete with demos, quizzes, and simulations, for each end user, from your configured org.
How it works:
Record your screen as you click through the org (a UAT session or a handover call works)
Recourse reads the clicks, the fields and the narration and builds a demo, a practice simulation with hints, and a scored evaluation
It warps everything into a course you can share as a link or send directly into your client's LMS 🪄
It’s good for users because it’s specific to their org, not vanilla Salesforce - and it includes multiple ways of learning (videos, quizzes, and practice simulations).
It’s good for trainers because everyone’s scores are tracked, so you can see who’s actually ready to use things on day one, by role and by task. And when fields change later on, you can re-record just that one step instead of rebuilding the whole thing from scratch.
You can reach out to Recourse’s co-founder Nik if you want to learn more, or start a 15-day free trial here.
I’ve been getting good feedback on the series so far (thank you!) - keep telling me if this is helpful and what other types of startups you’d like to see over the next few weeks.
Have a great weekend!
